About Me

Hi, I'm Gethin; runner, construction manager, Physical Training Instructor, boyfriend, father to a young baby and a 9 year old dog.​

 

I have been competitive for as long as i can remember; from wanting to climb to the highest branch of a tree to trying to be the fastest in my class. I was a decent sprinter in school and dreaded long distances. Fast forward 15 years and I discovered a love of running, especially the challenge of Ultras and endurance events.

I ran my first ultra in 2016 and since then have completed a further 10 including the worlds toughest mountain race; the Dragons Back Race in 2019. My most important race was in 2018 with my first and only (fingers crossed) DNF which came at the half way point of a 100 mile race across the Brecon Beacons.

 

My current goal is to complete the UTMB whilst enjoying training and racing in the build up to it in August.
